Photoshop blues
Isn't it hard to be a graphic artist when originally you're simply a writer? Been making posters and was supposed to do OT work last Saturday, but Coldplay's Live 2003 DVD derailed me. Was only supposed to watch a few live tracks while having breakfast before heading to Quiapo 8am for DVDs, then getting to the office 9 or 930am. But no, lethargy soon crept in. Haven't been able to write. And it was my 3rd time to be late today. Why God why?! I was waiting in line for 30 goddamn minutes for the FX to arrive. Sometimes it just isn't your day. Whine whine whine...
Friday night was great though, was at Silungan (y'know that cafe below Balay Kalinaw) with my dad and sis, had samosas and pasta and watched live jazz musicians play. I know next to nothing about jazz, but it's cool as hell; I really appreciate it. ;)
Now I fucking know why some people set their screen to the ultra tiny 1024 x 768 pixels. Used to set it to 800 x 600 pixels, but now am using the former. Tragedy for my eyesight, but it maximizes screen space. You already have to scroll around a lot while using Photoshop, but 1024 x 768 pixels helps. BTW congrats... you've really improved your HTML tags. :) Damn, is Lori Barbero ugly or what? And Kat Bjelland too. I know it's International Women's Day today, but they're still ugly. ;) I saw Courtney's vid for Mono yesterday, it was pretty funny. Those chainsaw-wielding little princesses. The sound though seems more of the same. I dunno what you're thinking, but Celebrity Skin was wonderful. I remember a Spin year-end article gushing how "Reasons to be Beautiful" was one of the most kick-ass songs that year. But then again sometimes Spin just kisses Courtney's ass. ;) I guess Eric Erlandson helped Melissa Auf der Maur this time cos it's her first time to helm a musical project; I mean he's already helped Courtney a lot in the past. Oh, and I have an unofficial Courtney Love bio circa 1994 or so; it says she had her boob and nose jobs done before Pretty on the Inside, so your statement about how everything about her has been fake since her boob job is false. ;)
So why am I posting Mane 'N Tail hair product photos here? It's my 2nd week to use this expensive horse shampoo and conditioner set (My officemate sold them to me P480 a bottle for the deep-moisturizing set; P450 for the regular kind, from the States). My hair has improved, kinda. Guess I still need to do hot-oil treatments on myself; it's just that it's a lot of effort.
This weekend I burned all four Cafe Del Mar CDs we have at home. These albums are cool stress-busters for work. God, I sound like an aging yuppie. So you're going to Quiapo this Saturday March 13? Sama ako! DVD binge!
