And 10 years just shot by
With Kurt Cobain's 10th death anniv just around the corner (April 8, according to this FAQ), I've been wondering how the rest of Nirvana have been. Things I read:
- Ex-bassist Krist Novoselic's been into politics after a few not-so-great turns with his post-Nirvana projects. He got married (last February?) to 41-year-old artist Darbury Ayn Stenderu.
- Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl also got married last year to Foo documentarian Jordyn Blum. Check out these hilarious outbursts from his female fans upon hearing the news.
So what brought this about? While waiting for ABS-CBN's Pipol to come on last night (We were set to watch a feature on our family friends Tita Penny, a leading doctor in Bontoc, and her daughter Gawani, who's graduating cum laude this year in UP, yay!) we watched RPN 9's super late broadcast of the 2003 Billboard awards and caught Dave Grohl and Triumph the Insult comic dog ripping everyone to shreds from the podium. It was hilarious.
And Kurt and Courtney's daughter Frances Bean? Well, from these photos (here and here), she has her mom's brown hair and long chin, and her dad's lips and eyes. Lovely 12-year-old kid.
