Found a quiz about famous people and the odd jobs they used to have before hitting it big. I scored a dismal 5/12. Some of my answers:
1. Elvis - truck driver
2. Henri Matisse - lawyer
3. Marilyn Monroe - worked in defense factory (My answer: worked in ice cream parlor)
4. Madonna - worked in Dunkin' Donuts
5. Samuel Morse (inventor of Morse Code) - art professor (at NYU)
6. Whoopi Goldberg - funeral home make-up artist
7. Danny DeVito - hairdresser (My answer: electrician, cos he looks like one)
8. Poet Maya Angelou - nightclub performer (My answer: florist)
9. Sean Connery - coffin polisher (My answer: eyeglass salesman)
Funny, eh? So we're not too bad. You're a call center serf, I'm a Corp. Comm. slave at a shipping company. The question is, will we hit it big? ;)
Hey, sorry I had to be the bearer of bad news. But I thought it'd be better if you knew. Anyway, it takes all sorts to make the world go round. Maybe such people (my own detractors come to mind) are there to remind us to stay alert, stay on our toes. And you didn't have to delete that post about your pet peeve. ;)
