Mandalay

Saul Freeman and Nicola Hitchcock of Mandalay. Been liking this defunct duo cos of their single Beautiful off Cafe del Mar Volumen Seis. In a few words, I'd say their music is ethereal, wistful, and can easily transport you to a faraway place you've never gone to. I reckon am the only one among your buyers who'd dig them, and I'm right! ;) Thanks for selling me Instinct. Check out ex-vocalist Nicola Hitchcock's site, it's pretty.

A drawing of Cafe del Mar by DJ Bernard. Last Friday I was checking that lovely Cafe del Mar site and came across these whimsical sketches by DJ Bernard. Someday in this lifetime, I'd love to go on a trip to Ibiza. It's very expensive, I hear, and visitors to this notorious, hedonistic party island have been known not to return. Knowing this, and looking at the drawings, gave me another story idea. I so want to turn these floating ideas into concrete stories already.

BTW, Marcia sent a short email and says hi to us all, even my dog. ;) I miss that girl. Is Iligan near um Bukidnon or wherever she lives now? (Am never sure.) Might go see her next month, who knows?
