Marcia Marcia Marcia!
So I talked to Marcia last night and it's settled, am visiting her in Cagayan de Oro! It'll be my first time in Mindanao, cos Palawan was the farthest I've been down south. Iligan is just 1.5 hours away by bus from CDO. Am set to be gone 8 days (April 24 Saturday to May 2 Sunday) even though the letter says I should check-in at the hostel beside Mindanao State Uni (where the workshop sessions would be held) April 25 Sunday and check-out by noon of April 30 Friday. Has it been 3 years already since I last saw Marcia? I hope we get to go to the beach she talked about, their farm, and a few more places.
Want to maximize my stay there so I plan to get the 510am flight from Manila to CDO. Expected arrival is 640am. I asked the poor girl to be at the airport by quarter to seven to pick me up. Will take loads of pics. It should be fun! Weird how a flight to CDO takes longer than a flight to Hong Kong (1 hour).
Marcia hasn't changed, it seems. We were laughing a lot over the phone. It's been a while since I've laughed really loud like that.
I've been listening to Cafe del Mar CDs for 2 weeks at work now. Am getting a headache. ;) Was actually yearning for something different, like Bob Marley or The Strokes or The Sundays. Yesterday in the FX going to work I listened to Annie Lenox's cover of Waiting in Vain. That's when I started missing reggae. I like that Bette Davis Eyes song; the video has dancers who strike the floor with their palms in time to the beat before the chorus.
Damn I wish this month would just shoot by already. Time's usually like that anyway.
