Hold off all the gifts (iyon eh kung meron)! I was able to buy two short story collections/anthologies sa Booksale Iyong Mysterious Press’s 25th Anniversary Anthology (for 120p, which is a steal, since it’s hardcover)
, and Joyce Carol Oates’s The Collector of Hearts: New Tales of the Grotesque 
. I think I was able to get it to compensate with that really horrible erotic-horror collection done by Jeff Gelb (Hot Blood: Strange Bedfellows, I should have known… I was able to read 2 previous collections by the same guy, and I have to say they were the worst that the genre had to offer… I thought he has reformed… but, no!). I was also able to get a pair of contacts. Thankfully, my old pair of glasses can rest now… But, dear me, the contacts were a bit hefty. Mahal na pala siya by 600p ngayon! (I bought a pair five years ago for only 1,200p… but, that was five years ago).
I think the main reason why I don’t need any more gifts is because I think I’ve pretty much gotten what I need (or want, if you like a more fitting term), in terms of books and movies, and to a lesser extent, CDs that getting more would mean I’m greedy (oh yeah, I forgot, I AM greedy). The one year deadline I gave myself is through, and it’s time for something else. Di ba naman?

lola, are you sure? bibigyan ko pa man din sana kayo ni hagrid ng gift na book. hmm. but if you say so...
but then wouldn't it be more fun to have an exchange gift of sorts? at kelan ba ang bellini's natin? nag-text ako sa inyo ni hagrid about it kagabi at wa naman nag-reply. hmph.
