actually, i couldn't immediately think of anything! i guess nung kelangan ko pang habulin ang lintik na m. conde (who apparently later was stripped of her masters degree and was banished from UP for plagiarizing some academic paper or something) for kasaysayan 2 ata kasi di nya ko nabigyan ng final grade. same as fucking joi barrios who has lost my respect forever din kasi kelangan ko pang maghabol so she could give me a grade. as in wala ako sa list ng students nya for the final grade sa grading sheet, that whore.

i was a university and college scholar a number of times; i also got a modest undergrad thesis grant from sonny belmonte's office. other than that, i paid regular tuition, which was pretty cheap naman.

i knew i wanted to graduate with honors. was .5 shy of being magna cum laude, huhuhu, cos i never computed grades or anything, just gave it a shot. i did graduate cum laude.

sir butch dalisay (he was my prof thrice). vim nadera and neil garcia (who was my prof in 3 or 4 classes ata) were also great.

joi barrios, m. conde (i really forgot her first name). um, isabel banzon-mooney was good naman but effectively and unwittingly killed my desire to write poetry in the end. i also didn't really like heidi abad for CW writing for children. i dropped that crazy prof e. paglinawan for film 100 in mass comm (it was an elective), cos yun nga, she was a little crazy and way too strict.

i liked performance poetry cos it was really interesting. in general i liked my lit and CW subjects best. i also really liked one of my electives, photography as art. we got to study pretty awe-inspiring photos.

ok lang. quite a few of em shifted to mass comm. used CW as a stepping stone. i didn't form lasting friendships with most of em.

it's hell week, naghahabol ka, cramming... everything's hectic and this was usually the period for extreme lack of sleep. i remember nodding off once inside the ikot jeep. imagine, it was such a short ride!

no, sa dumaguete workshop (when i was 19) ako natutong uminom ng beer. red horse pa!

the open grounds, the shady trees, the fact that it was "the best" and we as students were special (that iskolar ng bayan thing), the considerable academic freedom, the fact that you could encounter all sorts of people and opinions and beliefs there. the lantern parade, the hardin ng mga diwata, the streaking frat guys (a.k.a. the oblation run, which i only got to witness once), the affordable rock concerts.

sometimes my profs were pretty lazy and i felt short-changed. also the reams of readings we were expected to read for nat sci and STS and math 1 and such... it was impossible! i mean, we had lives too, you know.
