Hey guys, I found a great website. I'll place it na rin sa sidebar. It's for film criticism. I guess, I admired the people there for reading something within the movie that I failed to do. The upside is that we have legitimate film critics who can give as an accurate run down of what the movie was about, and what may have been the intention for doing so. While the downside is that some of the articles are written by reviewers who pass themselves as critics, as what you know who would like to be known (oh well, nobody loves Roger Ebert anyway). You can very well see the difference between legitimate critics and reviewers (who are almost always cineastes, but never having to understand the inner workings of the movie or the filmic language), the former writes very scholarly and is almost always concise, and based on facts. While the latter, relies more on heavy handed assumptions and nitpicks which aren't very intrinsic to a particular director's body of work. Anyway, go here for reference. k?
