Bagong Bihis na Blog!

Lydia Lunch

Anyway, dahil mahirap talagang iqualify ang walang magawa, I decided to change the blogskin. Wala lang. Doesn't it look sleazier? Sleazy=Good, right? Haha! Ang downside lang ata nito eh iyong mga dating comments eh nawala? I'm not sure. I'll check later. Since wala si Bernice sa Manila, and Allan is at home, I decided to take the liberty of making the changes.

Ano pa nga ba, uy, have finished three books in the first two months alone lang ng 2006 (The Vanishing, Complicity, and the Cement Garden). Which is a good sign, compared to last year, I finished three books in 12 months. So, this year must be good. I think something good did happen to me. Anyway, I'm currently reading Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections. Sabi ko kay Allan, yuck, it's an Oprah Book. Pero, in fairness, it's reading good (to the first 100pp I have read so far).

Also, I need to buy a new DVD player. The nextbase one conked out finally about two weeks ago. And if I have to have it repaired, I need to shell out 1,500p. I bought it for 3kiyaw almost 2 years ago, and I think I got a raw deal. I think I'll buy a Pioneer one.

This year should shape as better than 2005 (funnily, 2005 was supposed to be the Monkey's year, according to Chinese Horoscope, apparently, it isn't).

See you soon penguins!

Umoonti na rin ang mga binibili kong DVDs (thank God, I have learned to curtail purchases!). The last time I went to Quiapo, I only god Double Indemnity, The Duelist, and Animatrix (yes, I haven't seen this one yet). And well, my supposedly last trade (I think I said this same thing 6 months ago). This trading business has mellowed down (if only by a bit!). 6 months ago, I would be receiving something like 30 or so movies a month. I think I have all that I need (I think I said this same 6 months ago as well!).
OO nga pala, plugging month (para naman tumangkilik ng local plays ang makakatagpo ng post na ito):

Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah: Ze Muzikal!

ZSAZSA ZATURNNAH
(Ze MuziKal!!!!!)

A mysterious stone falls from the heavens granting Ada, a quaint beauty salon owner, the ability to transform into ZsaZsa Zaturnnah, a superhuman warrior endowed with uncanny strength and remarkable beauty. As she fearlessly defends a small town from power-tripping planet women, a giant frog and rampaging zombies, she finds her true calling and concedes to destiny. For its season ender, Tanghalang Pilipino celebrates Pinoy Pop Culture as it presents this rousingly funny musical based on the comic book by Carlo Vergara (recipient of National Book Award citation from the Manila Critic’s Circle).
