Stand up for your right

(Syet bakit ba puro Bob Marley lyrics ang nilalagay ko lately dito?)

O ayan lolo Joel, texted you my PO box addy already. At least you'll be putting it to good use. You'd probably need to present them with an authorization from me to get your parcels there.

Hagrid, got your email and will reply early next week, okay? Am swamped with work; it's terrible. Anyway, mag-post ka na kaya dito. Sobrang tahimik mo lately.

BTW am planning to hold a DVD marathon at home with the mimosas (a.k.a. some Iligan co-fellows) tentatively set for next pay day. You guys are invited too. Will update you guys about it, yeah?

Tony Leung in Wong Kar Wai's 2046 Hagrid (again), sige magpainom ka kung mag-Palme d'Or ang Old Boy. Pero ang daya mo ha, cos the odds on that film are great. Wong Kar Wai's 2046 might be more likely to win. (Insert diplomatic note: Though of course this doesn't mean one film's better than the other.) Pero sige, kung manalo ang idol kong si Wong Kar Wai, consider the DVD fest am hosting as my treat. Fair enough? Bibili ako ng beer, don't worry. ;)

To be fair, lola, reading your play has been a wake-up call for me to write again. Don't you just love that feeling when, in the midst of going about some drudgery or mundane matter you suddenly stop and stare hard into space, your brain working madly, something deep inside the recesses clicking into place when you finally figure out how to go about that story you've been wanting to write for ages? That's how it's been with me lately. I never would've thought it when I was an undergrad, but really, writing is bliss.
