LIVE AND LEARN

I wanna burn this whole world down! Ms. Jose and I were talking about it a few days (?) back. Would we be better off if we were contented and happy? Would we be writing happily demented stories if all we could ever think of was fashion, love, or some such triviality? No. So, I don't know if it's one minor consolation that we are still in a job that we hate. But, what I hate about it is the lack of challenge that it poses. It doesn't actually lend itself to creativity. Which I actually hate.

I wanna hang myself if I stay in this job for another day...Not! Anyway, the people that I've sent articles to have replied and would like to receive more travel articles from me. I guess, I have to send them one tomorrow just for them to have a feel of the style. Although, I tend to give them a more exotic side of Manila since the glossy part has been taken up by a lot of people out there. It's not exactly a new subject, but I would like the tourists to try things which aren't endemic to them. I mean, it may very well be their first and last time to be in the Philippines. Make it at least memorable.

Where is my mind? So, I've seen only two movies from the stash I got from Quiapo a week ago. The godawful Absolution (which people from Fangoria have seen-- and silly me for not reading the thread-- and have actually trashed), and the anime Ninja Scroll. Now, I would want to watch more swordfight movies (not the swordfight variety that Ms. Jose loves doing). Fangoria's message board is still down, so hindi tuloy ako makapagtanong kung napadala na ba nung isa iyong mga ipapadala niya. It's annoying, kasi iyong mga movies na sinasabi nang aking netfriend eh movies na gustong gusto ko (Dario Argento's Deep Red, and John Waters' Serial Mom...Someone beat me to the punch with August Underground: Mordum which is a gorefest of the most vile kind. I know I don't like gore/splatter for the sake of, but I would love to see what it has to offer. I would like to see the scenes where two women were vomiting for real in other people's faces/mouths. I know, it's a bit gross). But, I'd rather slit the throats of some people just for the sake of.
