Bb. Jose, bow ako sa title ng bago mong project. I dunno, Stereo just sounds so cool. Hanga ako sa yo na you always make time for writing. Tama yan, if your readers aren't surprised with your output anymore, best to challenge yourself and try another route. Am keen to read this love story you're working on.
Shite, ako naman andami kong story ideas and pending work dito sa lintik na office... but neither seem to be progressing. Ako rin kaya mahilig magpaka-diva. I want GLORY! I want TRIUMPH! I want VICTORY! Hahaha! And this sounds big-headed but I am certain we can send up some of these people who are making it right now in Philippine lit. When you look at the stories winning now, some of em seem so bland compared to the ones that won a few years ago.
I mean, who wants bland stories? Do we want to feel like we are being lectured when we read? Do we convince ourselves to read something cos it'll do us good? Do we need telenovela-type stories? (To the last question, answer is fuck no, as if the drek on TV wasn't enough.) Not all the time. We also want it to be fun, we want to feel like our blood has been injected with life when we read. Anyway, kung si Bb. Jose sinusubukang magpaka-straight realist after being kinda, I dunno, non-mainstream...ako naman medyo baliktad. I started out writing conventional stories and am now trying to inject a hint of fantasy in some of my stories. If I don't do something to surprise at least myself, I'd die.
Ano ba talaga, tuloy ba tomorrow o hindi? Kaya ko lang naman sinasabing sa QC tayo magkita kasi ang Arlyn eh nasa QC. Pero kung wala kayong sweldo wala nga tayong magagawa. Ayaw nyo ba parehong mag-leave ng Saturday para this Saturday na lang ang inuman sa Penguin? Kasi am meeting some Iligan co-fellows this Friday din. Actually am not sure how I can manage to go to both gimiks. Or do you want to postpone our lakad to maybe May 21 Friday na lang, as in next week? Tawagan ko din ang Joel about this.
