On to other matters...

Now that I'm done doling out words of caution, let me talk about other things, like the UP Fair. Are you going? I read that the Brownmen are playing Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. But just thinking of the long lines you have to endure to get in makes me wanna pass up this year. I feel like a fogey sometimes, cos the dream pop or angsty rock bands slated to play this year just aren't my thing.

Haha, I checked Friendster today to add Lost in Translation to my list of fave films and to approve a high school batchmate's friend request. And I couldn't really remember who she was! She looked familiar, but I couldn't dredge up the memory of interacting with her in class. Oh well, the more the merrier!

Hey, it's Palanca season. Are you joining? Maybe we should be encouraged by what Rene said (Ching! Nakiki-Rene-Rene na ko sa inyo ni Hagrid). You know, that he joined as early as 1973 but only started winning 1980. Am set not to cram for the Palancas anymore. I should just enjoy writing. I mean, I feel so accomplished sometimes when I look at what I can write. I start thinking, Only I can turn this phrase this way, make this paragraph bring forth this certain emotion; I'm finally saying something that matters, and so on. I should just go back to that, you know?

As a certain band once said, Never mind the bollocks, here come the Sex Pistols. In this case, never mind the people full of bollocks, I have no time for their crap. Cos here I go again... (Wait, that's a Beatles Wings song now, innit?)
