Goodbye, Sex and the City!
Actually, for Manila-bound people like us, it's not quite goodbye yet as the final season hasn't been aired in HBO Asia. But last Sunday they aired the final 45-minute episode in the States. Glad to know it was a happy ending... that remained realistic in some aspects. Aw, I wanna watch it already! Was considering buying the SATC DVDs in Quiapo, but man, there are tons of them and sometimes Carrie's self-involved grousing just gets on your nerves. And CSI too... we've always loved that show at home but do I really want four seasons of one-hour weekly episodes on DVD?! Like, I have to live too, you know. Can't spend my whole life watching DVDs.
Good for you that you're making headway with The Labaha Killer. Haven't really been writing myself. Have to finish and send off that review of Nick Pichay's Hudhud to Biz World online today. Then I have to majorly revise an erotica story circa 2001 for someone's online anthology. Deadlines are good, in a way. They wring those stories out of you; you just have to shrewdly, patiently revise them later on so they become the best stories possible.
Isn't it time we started ignoring the bollocks for real, and started writing-- uh, for lack of a more modest word right now, and this came from Sir Butch Dalisay's Penman article-- for posterity?
