Freaky Friday

It's so damn cold here in the office! Left my usual jacket at home so borrowed a blazer from an officemate. Big fashion faux pas. I look old. No to blazers! No to the corporate look! Ukay-ukay pa rin!

Nothing to worry about, Joel. The Dumaguete Jologz aren't stuck up English-speaking wiseacres. Greenbelt it is, then! Wait, you won't be sleeping at all cos you'll be coming from the office?! Maybe you can nap in Sandra's office in the afternoon. ;)

Wait, let's just meet 8am at Mini-Stop, to give us more DVD selecting time. I'm afraid we'll still have to leave 1030am to make it to Sandra's 1130am class. Cos of heavy traffic. Am pretty chuffed (aspiring Brit speak! It means "pleased") to now have the chance to see our very own CAL Building. Too bad we didn't get to enjoy it as undergrads, though. Yep, let's have lunch 1pm at Likha Diwa or wherever.

My Sassy Girl Don't forget to bring my VCD of My Sassy Girl, okay? Thanks! Basta lahat ng dapat dalhin, dalhin na. BTW, after reading this in today's Business World, I've reiterated to myself yet again how this country's going to the dogs. About the article "Movie star turned presidential bet fails to impress business men", I can only say no shit:

Businessmen, some of whom earlier expressed concern over the candidacy of Mr. Poe, said the movie star was "sincere and candid." Some businessmen, however, said they have yet to hear from Mr. Poe a more convincing and detailed program to improve the business climate. Ryukichi Kawaguchi, president of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, said Mr. Poe's program failed to impress. "I am not hearing anything," he said when sought for comment on Mr. Poe's program.

M. Butterfly by David Henry Hwang ... the meeting was part of a series of dialogues with presidential candidates. Businessmen will meet with Senator Panfilo Lacson on Friday and former Education Secretary Raul Roco on Tuesday next week. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will have her turn on Wednesday, while evangelist Eddie Villanueva will be invited at a later date. ... dialogue inputs would be added to an economic map that the business community would draft for the next president.
Update for tomorrow! Got 2 Repertory tickets from the office for M. Butterfly tomorrow 8pm at Onstage in Greenbelt. Let's watch it, okay? Never saw the Jeremy Irons film, though. Jessica said it's open bar at Restaurant 12 (d'you know where that is, exactly?) from 10pm to 1am, so we have to be on time. And I guess we have to dress like non-Jologz? ;) See you bright and early tomorrow at Quiapo then!
