Aaaarrrggghhhh!
I went to Quiapo yesterday, and got around 10 DVDs. And I thought Lucky Me for getting so much for a lot less. Geez, this is the first time that 50% of my purchases are giving me either blurry pictures or these discs downright won't play. I will return these darned DVDs on Friday, and I hope I get something good in return. It's really getting tiresome, you know. These are the DVDs that I got (that actually work):
1) My Wife is a Gangster 2 -- Haven't seen it yet...
2) Bjork (Iyong compilation niya of vids -- for 30p)
3) Dog Soldiers -- A werewolf movie
4) Laurel Canyon -- Which is quite alright, no special features though and I'm actually thinking of returning it
5) Monster's Ball -- Which actually looks quite nice
6) I Forgot
But come next week, I will be receiving my copy of:
1) Tenebre (Dario Argento)
2) Suspiria (Dario Argento)
3) Stendhal Syndrome (Dario Argento... Now I'm having some small misgivings; this movie received a lot of flak for being violent and a tad unimaginative. Oh well, at least it's violent. Right?)
4) Blue Velvet (David Lynch, I remember My Demented Mommie Dearest heaping praises on this movie. So, I got this for her. Apparently, this was her favorite movie)
5) Don't Torture a Duckling (Lucio Fulci, a very anti-Catholic movie. So, to see is to believe.
God, this DVD hunting is killling me. I must have bought around 40 this month. Geez...
And before I forget,
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
