I'm sorry Joel, I know you weren't making a joke pero I found the previous exchange (see below) funny. Masyado ata kayong seryoso. Come on, lighten up a bit, life's not that bad.
I empathize with the dilemma of local playwrights and the preposterous shit churned out by local theater. And I get to watch it sometimes too. I have this occasional raket reviewing plays and then some. Wanna see my reviews? They're pretty middle-of-the-road, since am not a playwright like you guys. But getting published is nice and it's still money, right? No matter how small the amount. Here are some of my recent published articles:
- a review of Tanghalang Pilipino's "Speaking in Tongues" titled Bonding with total strangers
- a feature on the Iligan National Writers Workshop titled Writers as editors of memory
- a feature on an art exhibit and residency program by Big Sky Mind titled Sky-high art, wide open space
